EADS TEST & SERVICES' Procurement Strategy
In coherence with the Corporate Sourcing strategy, it consists in delivering a competitive advantage by integrating and developing the best suppliers on the market (in terms of quality-cost-lead time).
This Strategy is based on four main actions:

To continuously assess the ‘product/supplier’ market to be able to answer, in due time, the current and future needs of our customers.

To integrate the most competitive suppliers – following a rigorous RFx process – through the establishment of framework agreements which include commitment of the supplier for continuous improvement and risk & opportunity sharing provisions.

To evaluate and develop the performance of our suppliers (SED process), in coordination with EADS Sourcing network.

To actively contribute to procurement synergy actions led by the Corporate Sourcing.
What We Buy at EADS TEST & SERVICES
Our purchases mainly concern the products and services as specified below (without general purchase):

COTS (Components Off-The-Shelves): test & measurements equipment, power supply, PC, software, mechanical frame.

Components: electrical, electronic, connectors.

Software and test programme development.

Technical documentation services.
-
Design and manufacturing of harness and mechanical subassemblies, electronic boards (prototype and/or mass production).

Design and manufacturing of shelter systems.

Design and manufacturing of optical subassemblies.
