The Russian carrier S7 Airlines will use an ATEC Series 6 test bench of EADS Test & Services, an integrated unit of EADS Defence & Security

At the MAKS show in Moscow, the Russian carrier S7 Airlines have decided to acquire an ATEC Series 6 test bench and a library of A320 test programmes for the maintenance of their newly extended A320 fleet. This acquisition will be financed by the Russian company Alfa Leasing. A contract has therefore been signed between EADS Test & Services and Alfa Leasing. Deliveries are planned to start at the end of the year. EADS Test & Services’ partner in Russia, Beta Air, will provide its support for the Russian certification of the ATEC Series 6.
S7 Airlines is a new ATEC airline Customer who joins the community of over 50 ATEC airline operators worldwide. The ATEC Series 6 automatic test system of EADS Test & Services is the world leading tester for avionics maintenance.
Based in Toulouse and in Elancourt near Paris, EADS Test & Services is an integrated Unit of the EADS Defence & Security Division (DS). DS is a systems solutions provider combining military air systems, missile systems, communications and intelligence systems, global security solutions, sensor and avionics systems, as well as test and support solutions into a single effective network. S7 Airlines is the largest airline on Russian domestic air routes and is in the world’s ТОР-50 air-transport carriers in this category. On June 16th, 2007 the S7 Group of Companies on behalf of S7 Airlines signed the contract with Airbus for the delivery of 25 new A320 airplanes. By 2012 S7 plans to operate no less than 50 aircraft from this modern narrow-bodied Airbus plane family, including up to 35 of the А320 airplanes, the flagship of this family.
