ATEC Real Time

Applications
Hispano-Suiza (SAFRAN Group) has chosen the ATEC Real Time as integration tester for the Full-Authority Digital Engine Control (FADEC 3) on the GP7200 and TP400-D6 engines that respectively power the A380 and the A400M.

Compatibility Across the ATEC Range
The ATEC Real Time was designed on an ATEC technological basis and is compatible with ATEC Series 6 benches – used in production and maintenance tests – with which it shares a similar software environment.
Test programmes and objects developed during the test development phase using the ATEC Real Time can thus be partially re-used for other test phases (production and maintenance).
This potential capitalization on what has already been achieved is what gives EADS TEST & SERVICES their truly competitive edge, a substantial benefit to help customers make significant savings in development costs.

Real Time Open System Software Architecture
Like other EADS TEST & SERVICES testers, the ATEC Real Time has an Open System Software OSS architecture and uses VISUAL OSS, EADS TEST & SERVICES graphic programming software, extended to real time applications.
Within this architecture, VISUAL OSS enables simple descriptions of test scenarios and the programming of metrological or real-time sequences.
The ATEC Real Time is coupled with:

the Test Resource Manager TRM software: to manage standard ATEC resources,
-
a specific driver call interface: to manage real time resources.
Advanced Instrumentation
In addition to the VXI, IEEE and Ethernet technologies already implemented in the ATEC Series 6, the ATEC Real Time modular hardware architecture uses a highly effective VME instrumentation capable of rapidly acquiring and generating signals with controlled timing.
A Comprehensive Service
