SMART (EADS TEST & SERVICES)

The SMART (Standard Modular Avionics Repair and Test) system software and its associated tools (on-line documentation, database management, man-machine graphical interface (MMI)) were originally specified by ARINC to satisfy the following main objectives: modularity, portability and maintainability.

SMART was developed by EADS TEST & SERVICES to operate three fundamental user modes: test, repair and programme development.

SMART provides software tools such as:

ATLAS Editor, with syntactical analyser,
ATLAS 626-2 or ATLAS 716-95 (IEEE 716) compiler,
ATLAS linker, capable of linking ATLAS and non-ATLAS modules,
Test Executive with a debug mode.
